How to make a UML diagram with Miro

Choose the ready-made template
Head to the toolbar, click on “Templates” and choose “UML diagram.” Alternatively, follow the next step to code your own diagram.

Using our PlantUML or Mermaid app is easy. Head to the toolbar, click on “More apps” and look for either app. Paste your code into the editor, or edit one of the sample diagrams.

First, decide what type of UML diagram best suits your needs and what you’ll use it for. Once you’re ready, start drawing your UML diagram using our ready-made templates or create one from scratch. There are 14 UML diagram types, divided into two categories: behavioral and structural. Regardless of which UML diagram you want to build, the basic steps are the same: arrange your diagram elements on the board and select the UML shape pack using our Shape Library.
